Are you looking for Chinese Medicine consultations in Lisbon?

At Shift You, we advocate a principle similar to that of Traditional Chinese Medicine: a global approach to understanding the processes of disease and health, which focuses on prevention as treatment of disease.

The disease is, in the light of Chinese Medicine, caused by external or environmental factors, emotions or unhealthy lifestyle habits. That is why we offer at Shift You the tools we believe are necessary to prevent disease situations.

What is Chinese Medicine?

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a natural health care system with more than 2000 years that manifests itself in an understanding of the world and reality interpreted in the light of several theories. And it branches into 5 major areas: Acupuncture, Tui Na (Chinese massage), Phytotherapy, Nutrition and Qi Gong.

When there is an imbalance or blockage of the flow of energy through the body’s meridians, health is severely affected. The disease is, in the light of Chinese Medicine, caused by external or environmental factors, emotions or unhealthy lifestyle habits.

TCM stimulates the body’s own regenerative functions taking into account all aspects of the patient’s life and not just the signs and symptoms it shows.

What is Chinese Medicine indicated for?

According to WHO, TCM is indicated for pain, various types of respiratory, digestive, urogenital, gynecological, cardiovascular, mental disorders, sense organs, skin, among others:

  • Fatigue
  • Infertility
  • Liver Diseases
  • Headaches
  • Indigestions
  • Hormonal imbalances

It is necessary to popularize TCM knowledge in order to let more and more people know the advantages and gradually accept it, and TCM will play a more important role to achieve the goal of WHO ‘Health for one’ all over the world’. OMS website
